This is a unique find! This Sour Grapes doll, which is in excellent condition, comes with her original purchase receipt! This is a wonderful extra bit of nostalgia, detailing the exact date it was purchased nearly 40 years ago, on November 29, 1984. Clearly this doll was purchased to be kept as a collector's item oringinally, as you can see her hair is still in its original factory condition and apears to never have been untied. The box is in overall good condition, with bright graphics and little shelf wear. However, the cellophane was very wrinkled and unsuitable for dipslay. The cellophane has been replaced, making it once again able to be displayed and is a perfect addition for any collector that doesn't mind the replacement cellophane. We felt this was a great way to preserve the history of this item, with the original price tag on the box exactly matching the store receipt from 1984.
The doll and her pet snake Dregs are both in excellent condition. There are no snags or stains on the dress. The original tie is still in her hair and is crisp, and doesn't appear to have ever been removed. She has her origianl twist ties, and has been reattached to her backing card. She also comes with the original inserts including the thank you card, catalogue, and the Kenner warranty paper.
